NeoSYS Network Middleware

RMI (Remote Method Invocation) is a lightweight, CORBA-like middleware which allows distributing Java objects over the network.

NeoSYS consultants experienced RMI in projects like TowerStrips (electronic stripping tool dedicated to tower controller, distributed on GROUND and TOWER working positions), SkyTools (working position prototype for air traffic controller) and eDEP (lightweight ATM simulator platform, which can be distributed across the network).

CORBA is the acronym for C ommon O bject R equest B roker A rchitecture. CORBA is OMG's specification to define open and heterogeneous distributed applications. Interoperability results from two key parts of the specification: OMG Interface Definition Language (OMG IDL), and the standardized protocols GIOP and IIOP®.
